Here is my personal Top 10 Favourite Rollercoasters! These will change with time as I visit different theme parks, so watch out for when they change!
When I went on my trip to Poland I expected this to be very intense, and intense it was. But what I didn't expect was that this would be my number 1 rollercoaster. I had to idea really what to expect with any part of this ride, as I'd never been on an RMC before, and going up that lift hill having no idea what's coming is truly a terrifying experience. The first drop is absolutely amazing, and is followed by great element after great element. The Zero-G Stall is currently my favourite inversion ever, as the exit of the stall actually gives pretty good air, which is very uncommon for an inversion. The absolute power this ride keeps when blasting through the layout is unmatched, that brake run is a punch in the gut, and that's why I have this sat comfortably at the number 1 spot.
My first ever new-gen Intamin with an inversion, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I got two rides on this beast, once directly on the front, and another directly on the back. Obviously, the back row is unmatched and gives amazing ejector airtime, especially over that last airtime hill going into the splashdown (that unfortunately no longer works). The new-gen Intamin Lap Bars on this ride are absolutely amazing and just up the airtime factor by miles. The only reason that this isn't my number one is the rattle, as in the wing seats its very noticeable and unfortunately ruins the ride quite a lot. However, my back row middle seat ride throws this up here and I don't reckon it will be moved for a very long time.
This ride is insanely fun, and I am all for it. The first launch has some insane punch, and every single hill is jam packed with some of the world's greatest airtime moments. Just when you think the ride is slowing down and stopping, it hits possibly the world's greatest launch, taking you all the way to 72mph and completely pinning you to your seat in the process, and after that launch, the ride (which was already amazing to begin with) just gets better and better, with multiple twisted airtime hills and insanely whippy turns. All of this combined with the new-generation Intamin trains and the pure smoothness of the ride, means that Taron is easily one of the greatest rollercoasters in the entire world.
This was my first coaster in Poland, and I didn't really know what to expect, as I hadn't heard much going into it. What I got out of this ride is an absolute greyout machine full of some of most powerful and aggressive airtime, this ride just keeps on going and doesn't slow down at all. The restraints are unbelievably comfortable, the ride is possibly one of the smoothest in the entire world, and it's super intense, what more could you ask for? Just when you think it can't get better, 0 minute queue all day?! It's like theme park heaven! Also, the cherry on top was that the ride was amazingly themed and integrated into the surrounding area, with medieval style buildings and bridges that the ride weaves around. The setting of the ride is also one of my favourites, with it being situated on a huge lake with fountains and greenery. I absolutely love Lech Coaster and I think it needs more recognition than it gets.
This ride is everything you could ask for from a B&M Hyper. It has some of the world's greatest airtime, and it runs beautifully smooth to say it's over 10 years old now. All of the elements and the pacing on this ride are consistent and very well-done, and the splashdown (as seen in the photo) is great for cooling you down on a hot day, because you do get a little wet! The restraints are also perfect, being the usual B&M Clamshell Lapbars, so you are extremely free during every element. Not much else I can really say about it, it's just perfection.
This was my first ever rollercoaster in Phantasialand, and it really was a great way to start the day, the theming all throughout both the queue and the ride is absolutely breathtaking, and the ride itself is next level. I don't want to spoil this too much, as it's definitely something you have to experience for yourself, but the layout is so fun and lengthy, and full of some really fun moments, including some really good airtime on a flying coaster, which I didn't think was even possible. This is also the world's first and only launched flying coaster, and the launches in the flying position are so enjoyable. The dark ride section at the start is also my favourite build-up to a ride ever, and the comfortability of the trains and the sideways loading position makes this the most perfect flying coaster in the world.
My first ever new-gen Vekoma Sitdown Launch Coaster, and it certainly made a name for itself. The best way to describe this ride would be ICON but faster, taller, and with more inversions, because the way it rides feels extremely similar. The first launch is surprisingly punchy for how slow it is, and that second launch into the tophat is almost on par with Taron's second launch for me, it just has a little less power. This ride is extremely smooth and packs a punch, and just like every other coaster in Poland (for some reason) it just keeps going and going, and you definitely get your money's worth. The batwing element on this coaster is super intense and pulls some pretty good forces, which surprised me really because nothing else on the ride gave much positive force, it was very negative heavy, but I can't complain, I love airtime.
When I rode Nemesis Reborn, I thought it was the greatest invert in the world, but after I got off Black Mamba, I realised I had been completely proven wrong. Not only is Black Mamba's theming one million times better than Nemesis, the layout, efficiency, and even the soundtrack makes the ride extremely superior. My first ever ride on this masterpiece was heightened by the amazing staff who were dressed up as if they were in a tribe, or something along those lines, and they began chanting really loud as the train left the station, which just added to the already high level of immersion this ride holds. Another thing about this coaster is the fact that it can give some really good floater airtime depending on where you sit, which is something I didn't think B&M Inverts could even do.
This coaster has slowly fell down in my list after leaving the UK, but this definitely holds up as the UK's greatest rollercoaster by miles. This Mack Hyper Coaster is one of the most unique rollercoasters in the world, as it was built into such a small footprint but packs an insane punch. It currently sits as the UK's tallest and fastest coaster, taking the records from The Big One and Stealth. Very smooth ride, full of hangtime, airtime, and other extreme elements (e.g: The Kremer Roll). The trains are extremely comfortable and freeing with only the Mack Lap Bar restraints, and the operations are perfect as there is no seatbelt like on ICON. My only issue with this coaster is how short it is, lasting not even 1 minute after the lift hill.
This was absolutely the sleeper hit of my Poland trip. I expected a pretty mid launch coaster, and instead got a super smooth, super intense, and super aggressive coaster full of some of the best ejector airtime in Europe, and super floaty inversions. The reason it's this far down my list is because of how short it is, its over before you can even think about what's just hit you, and I think that ruins the ride for me a bit. Although I'll give credit where credit is due, the theming in the first tunnel is very good for that section of the park, as that whole area is very unthemed and bland. The sequencing of the smoke and sound effects in that tunnel are also very good and get you really anticipated for the ride. Just sucks it's so short, because if it wasn't, this would be miles higher.
